  1. What an amazing insight. Dealing with loss, trauma, and other stresses is a lifelong process with peaks and valleys, tears and joys, and we each go through it in our own way.
It’s a 10- hour drive or more for me to see my adult children and grand children. In the last year and a half, my youngest son has had two brain tumor surgeries, my daughter has had a miscarriage and a premature baby who spent 10 weeks in the NICU, and is still struggling with health issues, and my oldest son had a stroke and heart surgery.
I’ve had to support them from a distance and juggle work responsibilities and taking time to visit them. Now I’m leaving a job and community I love to move closer to my children.
It certainly isn’t the same as loosing a child but it still has a tremendous impact on a parent’s ability to cope with life.
Carter and Faye, I appreciate your willingness to share your lives with others. I have learned so much from you and appreciate your friendship. I’ll miss seeing an working with you. Best of luck to you and your family.

    • We will miss you, Rex! Thanks for your friendship, support and encouragement. All the best!
