A Facebook event was created by Faye’s sister, Martha Bigler, to honor the day Ashton Mayberry became an Angel.
On January 28th, we would like to invite any and all people to join us in doing small acts of anonymous service in Ashton’s name. Examples of things you can do: pay for someone’s meal behind you in the lunch line/drive-thru, leave an envelope of money for someone in need, leave a nice note to lift someone else, send an anonymous bouquet of flowers, or any kind act of service you see needed or feel inspired to do! Coming soon, we will have a printable page of small note cards so you can leave one when you perform your act of kindness. We know that wherever we are, whatever we do, together our small acts of service can make a difference in a big way. We can’t think of a better way to honor Ashton on this special day. We hope you will join us, and please spread the word! Don’t forget to include all family members in your service. (Children often have the best “angelic” ideas!)
Thank you for being an Angel for Ashton!

We will also eat Wendy’s on the 28th. We will be an angel for Ashton thru doing good deeds as we have picked out the several angel acts we are going to do. We have also brought out our Candy Land game and will play it . Ashton nor your family will be forgotten. You are loved and it helps us get through our grief by helping others.
Thank you.
Thanks, Peggy. That means so much to us to have you join us in remembering Ashton!
Thank you and god bless ur family
I just want to say that I was a recipient of someone doing a small act of kindness for Ashton’s Angel Day. I was sitting in my car in the back of a grocery store parking lot. I was waiting for my ex-husband to drop off our daughter, and he was late. A car pulled up next to me but I didn’t recognize it or the one person I could see in it. Quite a few minutes later, the cutest little boy got out of the car, looked at me, and then got back in his car. I thought this is really weird. Eventually two of the cutest little boys I have ever seen walked over to my car. I rolled down my window and this little boy said in the sweetest voice something like “this is for you. It’s for my service.” To be honest, I thought it would be a flyer of some sort asking to help out with an Eagle Scout service project or something like that. I told the cute little boys thank you and they hurried off back to the car and then they left. I opened this envelope they gave me and there was a note with some money. The note said how it was Ashton’s day and they are “paying it forward” and this is how they are remembering Ashton. I sat in my car and cried. What these boys did meant so much to me. It couldn’t have happened at a better time. I know that Heavenly Father has angels here on Earth doing His work, and those two little boys were my angels.
After I got my daughter, I drove around hoping I could find the car and give these boys a big hug and thank them for what they did, but I couldn’t find them. I could tell it took them a lot of courage to do what they did. But they did it, and I am so grateful! I’ll never forget his cute little voice and how their act of kindness to honor Ashton blessed me. Thank you, cute little boys, for your act of service. It was perfect, priceless, and so prescious.
Thanks for posting your comments about your experience. I love hearing stories from the recipients. I’m so happy this was a blessing for you. That’s exactly what we wanted. Bless you on this hard journey!
